We saw the most amazing dragonfly. It was huge! We saw two poisonous snakes, luckily for us they were easy to spot and avoid. We saw a little puddle full of tiny tadpoles waiting to become frogs. Two tiny butterflies landed on my girls’ fingers, and they got to experience some butterfly magic.

At the waterfall, we got to meet and visit with other people that had traveled the same trail to enjoy nature and see the beauty of the earth that God created for us. It was a wonderful time together.

I love nature so much. Lately, I have been thinking about a different place in nature. The Garden of Eden has been on my mind a lot recently. Adam and Eve were created in the Garden of Eden. They had everything that they needed there. In this sacred place, they could walk and talk with God. How amazing that would have been.

After they had to leave the Garden for eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge, they lost the same access to God that they had before. They had to work very hard to connect with Him again. That is the same for us all.

To some of us, it seems so impossible, that it is easier to believe that there is no God. Satan loves to push that lie. And because learning to have faith is so important, God allows it. He wants us to figure things out for ourselves. Satan takes a lot of liberties with that allowance. God knows when He needs to send angels to intervene.

God is waiting for you to ask Him for help. Make sure that you remember that. And when you do ask Him, make sure to pay attention. He will send it, but will you be paying attention? Will you notice it for what it is or assume that it is just a coincidence? Will you fall to your knees in a prayer of thanks?

We don’t get to walk with God, but He has sent His Spirit to be among us.

Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

The things His Spirit testifies to us are all good things. Anything that is different from that is not of God. Satan wants you to think that his whisperings are of God. This verse is how you can know the difference for yourself.

In Galatians 5:25 (KJV) it says: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Every time I go for a walk in nature, I can feel the Spirit. I can see all of the beauty in the nature around me and I can feel the love of God. If I can’t walk and talk with Him in the Garden of Eden, I’m so grateful that He has given of His Spirit to be all around us in this life on this earth.

Galatians 5:16-18

16. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

This is telling us that when we give into the lusts of the flesh, we are ignoring the Spirit. But if we choose to follow and be led of the Spirit, we are not under the pull of the lusts of our flesh. Does that make sense to you?

We have many urges in this human body. Most of them need to be tamed and it is difficult to do. But I promise you that as you overcome those urges and desires, you will have a greater access to the Spirit. It will be around you more often. It is worth the effort. Trust me.

I’m so grateful for the guidance that we get to have when we allow the Spirit into our lives. The Spirit has led me through difficult times for me and for others. It has helped me to find truths that I didn’t recognize before. I don’t get to physically walk with God, but I do get to spiritually walk with God through the Spirit. It is a beautiful experience that I wish for you to have.
